Sue Savage

Sue is a handbuilder who loves to make delicate pinch pots, more robust coil pots – bowls or closed forms – and uses slabs in unlikely ways. She also makes quirky “lady plates”, ladies’ faces with gold lipstick et al.
She was initially involved with clay in the 1970’s, deviated to do other things, and then returned to the appeal and fascination of clay. Now she’s loving the austere landscape and colour palette of the Karoo.
