I am a self-taught artist who started painting in 2009 and developed my own style over the years. I used to live in Hermanus, but moved to Prince Albert in February 2019, and now have my own studio space. Before I joined Prince Albert Open Studios I was part of the Volmoed art group under the caring guidance of 2 artists, Alyson Guy and Audrey Hickman. I participated in the Kalfiefees, Fynarts and Volmoed group exhibitions.
Nature, travelling and the impressionist artist Claude Monet’s work are my biggest inspirations. I love to do landscapes, floral, small portraiture and abstract works. Acrylics are my favourite medium. From time to time I also guide and help beginners with art classes and do commissions. To me my art is all about sharing happy feelings and telling a story, and a day without art is like a day without a smile!
