Theo Kleynhans is a playwright, sculptor, ceramist, curator and author. Kleynhans was the Curator for the Visual Arts for the Aardklop National Arts festival in Potchefstroom, ABSA KKNK (Klein Karoo National Arts Festival) as well as the Woordfees in Stellenbosch. He worked as Art Director on international film projects and was the Western Cape Chairman of the South African National Association for Artists (SANAVA). Kleynhans works mainly in earthenware, gouache & ink, conté, acrylic and print media.

His work is represented in numerous private and public collections both locally and overseas. Kleynhans has received the Dreams award, the Plascon painting prize, the SA Breweries sculpture award and has been a finalist in the ABSA Atelier Awards, The Momentum Life Awards and the APSA Ceramic Awards. His work can be found in many public and corportate collections.
